CARF: The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission
When the service or program you choose is CARF-accredited, it means your provider has passed an in-depth review of its services. It is your assurance that the provider meets rigorous CARF guidelines for service and quality -- a qualified endorsement that your provider conforms to nationally and internationally recognized service standards and is focused on delivering the most favorable results for you.
On July 12, 2007, CARF announced that Friendship Industries, Inc., has been accredited for a three year period for its four programs: work adjustment, extended employment, supported employment/situational assessment, and job placement. This latest accreditation is the 3rd consecutive Three-Year Accreditation outcome that the international accrediting commission has awarded to Friendship. A three-year accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation available.
Friendship is currently working on review materials for the next CARF accrediatation in 2010.

43% of our clients ride Friendship vans 10% of our clients ride Harrisonburg's Paratransit van (Friendship provides for payroll deduction for these clients.) 47% of our clients are considered "self-transporters" who do not ride Paratransit ("Self-transporters" drive, ride with someone else, and/or ride a bicycle or moped)
